Costs for advertising specialties can range from less than fifty cents to more than $100 dollars per item. The minimum order for imprinted items is about $200. This means that if you're only purchasing 50 items to hand out at a seminar or to give away at the departmental dinner, you probably shouldn't expect these items to cost as little as a dollar each. Instead, you will probably want to look at items in the four dollar range, bringing you up to the $200 minimum.
